EDWARD GIDEON MEMORIAL PRIZE FUND

Created: 1933

“Income to be used annually as a prize to that member of the graduating class of the Philadelphia Normal School who has done the most distinguished work in the field of social science.” In view of the Philadelphia Normal School having been abolished, the donors of the fund have requested that the income be used in the purchase of books, related to teaching, to be added to “The Edward Gideon Memorial Book Shelf” in the library for Teachers.
